Empyreal Matter No. 03
Empyreal Matter No. 03
Description
Empyreal Matter No. 03
An original, one-of-one work from Claudia Leona’s Empyreal Matter collection.
Created through the intricate placement of metallic gold against a field of deep black, this piece transforms with the light around it. The entire form is built by hand, one individual dot at a time, with thousands of painted circles gradually shifting in scale, density, and direction to create the movement and dimension within the work.
As natural and ambient light shift throughout the day, the gold emerges and recedes, revealing changing patterns, depth, and dimension and giving the work an almost living presence.
Bold from a distance and intricate upon closer viewing, Empyreal Matter No. 03 creates a striking focal point within a space, elevating its surroundings while inviting wonder, curiosity, and conversation.
