Primitive Rhythm No. 02 brings together fluid, organic color with intricate hand-drawn repetition. Vivid fields of turquoise, aqua, and deep blue move across a black ground, surrounded and intersected by thousands of fine white lines that follow, cross, and respond to the shifting forms beneath them.

Each line is drawn by hand, one at a time, gradually building into layered fields of rhythm and movement. The lines curve, overlap, gather, and separate, creating areas that feel almost woven while echoing the natural contours, currents, and irregularities of the painted forms.

From a distance, the piece is luminous and striking, with the saturated blues appearing almost suspended within the dark canvas. Up close, the work becomes increasingly intricate as individual lines, intersections, pools of pigment, subtle imperfections, and the texture of the canvas reveal themselves.

The contrast between the spontaneous movement of the pigment and the deliberate repetition of the hand-drawn lines gives Primitive Rhythm No. 02 its sense of energy and tension—something fluid held within structure, yet never completely contained.
